Hello, I am Aehong Min.

I am a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Jacobs Foundation Global Network for Connecting the EdTech Research Ecosystem and the University of California, Irvine. I am a member of the Social & Technological Action Research Group (STAR Lab) working with Prof. Gillian Hayes. I received my Ph.D. in Informatics (Track: Proactive Health Informatics) from Indiana University Bloomington (USA), my M.S. in Information Systems, and my B.S. in Sociology from Yonsei University (South Korea).

I am interested in technologies that support cooperative works for one’s well-being and health. Based on my background in visual communication design, sociology, and HCI/UX, I have utilized mixed methods with sociological, design, and UX perspectives to understand people and design potential technologies to provide better experiences to people. Specifically, my current research focuses on informal caregivers and technologies that support their collaborative work with other people to reduce their burden from caregiving work.
